Your ERP is not your accountant
SAP, Dynamics, or a local package will post whatever you configured. Configuration is an accounting decision. Treat it like one.
Go-live week is a poor time to discover that tax codes were copied from another country, or that the chart of accounts has no home for WPPF, or that inventory is perpetual in the system and periodic in real life.
A Certified General Accountant looks at an ERP the way a banker looks at a facility: what will this produce on the day someone hostile reads it? Masters, document flow, VAT, withholding, and the audit trail from challan to GL matter more than dashboards.
If you are selecting or repairing a system, freeze the finance blueprint before the integrator colours in the screens. We will sit on that side of the table.
